Like previous editions, the Kingdom’s participation in this event, organized by the Autonomous Establishment for Export Control and Coordination (Morocco FoodEx) under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries and Development Rural and Water and Forests, is remarkable thanks to a 623m² pavilion exhibiting the quality and novelties of Moroccan local products.
Among the products exhibited by the 20 Moroccan cooperatives selected for this edition are olive oil, argan oil, saffron, spices, dates, couscous, oysters, and even products derived from pink. These local products impressed a large number of foreign visitors and professionals at the Show, who expressed their admiration for the wide range of authentic Moroccan products.
Moroccan culinary art was also featured from the first days of this international event, allowing hundreds of visitors to discover its multiple flavors and its thousand and one facets.
Manuel, a German visitor to the Show, told MAP that the Moroccan pavilion offers the opportunity to discover the richness of the Kingdom’s agri-food sector through the various local products on display, noting that he makes sure to visit each edition of this show internationally with his family to learn about other world cultures, including that of Morocco.
Morocco’s participation in the Berlin Green Week aims to raise awareness of the Kingdom’s agri-food products, particularly local products, but also to strengthen exports of agri-food products and explore new outlets for the Moroccan offer in the international circuit.
Founded in 1926, Berlin International Green Week is one of the world’s largest gatherings dedicated to food, agriculture and horticulture. It brings together consumers, decision-makers, distribution chain operators and researchers in agricultural innovation.
This year’s edition, which brings together more than 1,400 exhibitors representing around sixty countries over an area of 118,000 m², is expected to welcome more than 300,000 visitors, according to the organizers.
