6 Israelis were killed and 50 others were injured today, Sunday, in a ramming attack at the Glilot Junction, near the Mossad headquarters north of Tel Aviv.
Israeli media reported that a truck ran over pedestrians at the Glilot Junction near the Mossad headquarters north of Tel Aviv, noting that several people, most of them soldiers, were injured.
The official spokesman for the Israeli Police told the Arab media: “Near the Glilot Cinema City, a truck deviated from the road and collided with several people near a public vehicle travel station.”
Israeli Army Radio confirmed today, Sunday, that “40 people were injured, 15 of them seriously, in the Tel Aviv ramming attack.”
Initial reports stated that “the targets in the ramming operation were soldiers, as the incident occurred near the gate of a military base in Glilot, while the truck driver was shot.”
The official spokesman for the Rescue Union, Central Region, said: “Following the unusual event at the Glilot intersection, the medical teams affiliated with the Rescue Union are currently providing medical assistance to about 20 victims (at this stage) in various cases, and some are still trapped under the truck”.
Revealing the identity of the perpetrator of the attack
Press sources reported that “the perpetrator of the run-over attack in the Glilot roundabout in Tel Aviv is called Rami Natour, from the town of Qalanswa and Arab 48.”
