The Bulgarian international Iliya Gruev has been following his plan for recovery at the base of the English “Leeds” for several days now.
On October 6, due to a damaged meniscus, the 24-year-old midfielder underwent surgery on his right knee after he was injured in the Championship match (II level of the Island’s football).
The invasive intervention was performed at London’s King’s College Hospital by renowned specialist Dr. Andrew Williams.
After the necessary postoperative period to rest his leg, Gruev returned to England. At the club base of “Leeds”, he is going through the necessary procedures to strengthen the knee.
The following is a detailed recovery plan drawn up by the Yorkshire medical team, coordinated, of course, with Dr Williams.
The examinations carried out so far after the operation show that the knee has tolerated her well and everything with the leg is okay.
Forecasts for the return of the national team to the game are from 3 to 4 months. Thus, in the best case scenario, it is possible that Gruev will be on the line again in mid-January. Either way, there’s certainly no rush to get Elijah back into action.
After his injury and that of the Welshman Ethan Ampadu, “Leeds” still decided to take another supporting midfielder, who was supposed to be a free agent.
This is Jouza Gilavogi. The capped French midfielder has signed with the Yorkshiremen until the end of the season. He had a good career in the German “Wolfsburg”, and most recently in “Mainz 05”.
“Leeds” occupies 3rd place in the temporary ranking of the Championship after the 12th round.
In it, the team of the German manager Daniel Farke drew 0:0 when visiting Bristol City.
“Leeds” has 23 points, the same as the second “Burnley”. The leader “Sunderland” has 28.
