It is customary for young players from different parts of India to showcase their potential through the IPL series. Rahul Tripathi, 31, has been playing in the IPL since 2017. He has played in 62 matches so far and has amassed 1385 runs. Although he played well for the Kolkata team, the team did not take him to the mega auction.
But the Sunrisers team knew his potential and auctioned him off for Rs 8.50 crore. Rahul Tirupati, who will be playing with the orange jersey this time, has said that he is looking forward to showcasing his talent in this IPL series.

He also spoke openly about something he had learned from Dhoni. As he puts it: I love batting in the most difficult situations of the competition. I like to hit sixes in difficult situations as well.
No matter how embarrassing the competition moves I will naturally play with confidence in my abilities without being nervous about it. I just learned this thing from Dhoni. I learned from Dhoni that tactic of moving the match patiently no matter how difficult the situation.

My desire is to be the best finisher like him. Rahul Tripathi said that he thinks I am doing better in that regard at present. He made his debut for Pune in 2017 under the leadership of Dhoni. Similarly, Ranchi, Dhoni’s hometown, is Rahul Tripathi’s hometown.
