”Morocco has always had great sporting potential, which has strongly emerged in recent decades,” Mr. Tolé told MAP, commenting on the Kingdom’s results at the Francophonie games, ranked first, and the Lionesses of the Atlas at the World Cup (Australia and New Zealand), first Arab country to reach the round of 16.

In his eyes, ”these exploits are not the result of chance, because a great deal of work has been carried out for around fifteen years”, highlighting the sporting infrastructures of the kingdom, ”which have nothing to envy of the European installations”.

Mr. Tolé underlined, in this regard, ”the political will at the highest level in Morocco which has made it possible to provide the country with a sports strategy for around fifteen years and which is now bearing fruit”.

”Morocco has also been able to put in place, with patience and maturity, a conducive environment with colossal investments and high-level infrastructure,” he noted.

And continued that “seeing success in men’s and women’s football today is not surprising when we know the intrinsic quality of Moroccan players”, arguing that the Kingdom “can thus compete with the greatest nations football”.

The sports consultant praised, in the same vein, the role of the Mohammed VI Football Academy which trains players of “high quality, thanks to the in-depth work carried out by this center of excellence since its creation”.
