/ The Iraqi Olympic Committee revealed, on Tuesday, the preparation of a strategic plan for the next three years with a budget different from the previous one, as it focuses on preparing Olympic champions.
The head of the committee, Raad Hamoudi, said in a statement received by Agency, “The Executive Office approved today the draft speculative budget of the Olympic Committee, which was prepared on the foundations of justice, transparency, governance, and saving money in order to raise the level of national federations and their athletes.”
He added, “The current budget has witnessed remarkable development in all its aspects and details, and the most important thing in it is what is in the interest of the national federations and their athletes as the main entity on which the sport of high achievement is based.”
He pointed out that “the budget that will be presented to the General Assembly at its next meeting differs from those of the past three years.”
Hamoudi confirmed that “the estimated budget for the coming year was prepared by a committee in the Financial Secretariat in cooperation with the advisors of the President of the Olympic Committee, and directly commissioned and supervised by the Chairman of the Committee,” indicating that “its total allocations were devoted to sports activity, development programs, women’s sports, preparing an Olympic champion, and activating the office movement.” Executive Supervision and Follow-up.
He concluded by saying, “It is hoped that the Iraqi Olympic Movement will witness radical changes at the level of organization and preparation in the coming years.”
