Actor Vishal ordered to pay Rs 15 crore

Actor Vishal had taken a loan of Rs 21 crore from Kopuram Films for his film ‘Marudu’. He has asked Laika to pay the amount as he is unable to repay the amount.

His loan was provided by Laika for Vishal’s request. In this agreement, Laika had entered into an agreement with Vishal stating that Vishal would repay the loan to Laika by December 2020.

Laika has filed a case against Vishal in the Chennai High Court for failing to respond to his repeated notices.

When the case came up for hearing today (February 12), Laika had said that the film ‘Veerame Vagai Soodum’ should not be released on ODD without repaying the loan.

Following this, the Chennai High Court ordered to pay a permanent deposit of Rs 15 crore for the loan obtained from Laika. The order also said that actor Vishal should submit the receipt for the payment within 3 weeks.
