Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 1088 people in the state today. Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 217, Kottayam 145, Kozhikode 107, Thiruvananthapuram 104, Thrissur 82, Kollam 76, Pathanamthitta 75, Idukki 63, Alappuzha 49, Malappuram 41, Kannur 37, Wayanad 37, Palakkad 34 and Kasaragod 21 districts. The number of patients currently being treated at the hospital is less than 10,000. Of the 9530 Kovid cases, only 9.5 per cent were admitted to hospitals / field hospitals

During the last 24 hours, 22,050 samples were tested. At present, 26,967 people are being monitored in different districts of the state. Of these, 26,036 are under home / institutional quarantine and 931 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 108 people have been admitted to the hospital. In the last 24 hours, 1 death has been confirmed due to Kovid-19. In addition, four deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 26 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 66,793.

Today, 3 of the confirmed cases are from outside the state. 1028 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 53 is not clear. Four health workers were affected by the disease.

2037 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 231, Kollam 179, Pathanamthitta 112, Alappuzha 107, Kottayam 223, Idukki 119, Ernakulam 344, Thrissur 153, Palakkad 132, Malappuram 57, Kozhikode 221, Wayanad 82, Kannur 59 and Kasaragod 18 were cured. With this, 9530 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 64,43,070 have so far been freed from Kovid.
