3159 cases settled by Lok Adalat | Dynamics

A total of 3,159 cases were settled in the National People’s Court (Lok Adalat) yesterday in 9 sessions across Dindigul-District. These people cannot appeal cases that are settled by the courts. The court heard cases other than check, education and bank loan, motor vehicle accident, title, income, property tax, family issues and divorce yesterday. The cases were settled in the presence of Meenachandra and several other judges. 4000 pending cases were taken up for hearing through 9 sessions across the district. Of these, 3159 cases were settled. Through this Rs. 10 crore 79 lakh 22 thousand 513 was paid as compensation.
