12 thousand 251 cases that did not come to court were taken to the People’s Court.

The National Lok Adalat People’s Court was held across Tamil Nadu yesterday. The cases were settled in 4 sessions in the Chennai High Court, 4 sessions in the Madurai branch of the High Court and a total of 419 sessions in courts across the state as district and taluka.
A total of 79,599 cases have been settled, according to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Commission. This includes 63,348 cases pending in court and 12,251 cases pending before the courts.
A further 2,004 Czech fraud cases have been negotiated between the two parties and 49 crore 97 lakh 23 thousand 381 rupees have been paid to those involved.
144 crore 85 lakh 25 thousand 246 rupees has been paid as compensation in 3 thousand 157 motor vehicle accident cases.
In addition, out of 7 thousand 301 civil cases, 33 crore 60 lakh 32 thousand 130 rupees have been paid and 106 family welfare cases have been settled in this Lok Adalat.
The Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Commission has stated that compensation of 71 lakh 50 thousand 900 rupees has been paid in 20 cases related to labor issues.
