The communication of the National Health Commission. An extraordinary wave of infections despite the “zero tolerance” and the closure of several cities in the northeast
The China reported Saturday a total of 3,393 new cases of Covid-19, of which 1,807 from domestic transmission, 131 imported and 1,455 asymptomatic. This was announced by the National Health Commission, reporting the highest figure since February 2020in the midst of the Wuhan crisis, the capital of Hubei ended up in lockdown where the coronavirus was detected for the first time on a global scale.
It is about an extraordinary wave of infections nationwide despite “zero tolerance”, with over 40 outbreaks due to the Omicron variant, which saw the authorities close schools in Shanghai and block several cities in the northeast. (Even in Italy the cases are on a slight rise, as explained here).
