The Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge of the Government of National Unity, Ashraf Al-Tayeb, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Libya, Dragun Todorvic, to review the most important topics of cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Al-Tayeb stressed “the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Serbian side in various fields of common interest from both sides, and pointed out some important points that were welcomed, including the preparation of the Libyan-Serbian exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in Tripoli during the year 2025 AD.”
In a statement on Facebook, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed “facilitating all procedures for the success of this exhibition in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the National Unity Government, as well as working to activate the legal agreements signed between the two countries in the past, especially in the fields of health, education, industry and other important topics.”
For his part, the Serbian ambassador expressed his happiness at holding this meeting and his country’s keenness to advance cooperation between the two countries, indicating their desire to work hard to strengthen and develop the bonds of joint coordination in many fields, especially those related to the economy, investment, and educational programs, and the constant striving on their part to “Creating the appropriate conditions for this matter.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Tayeb praised “the positive role of the Republic of Serbia in Libya, stressing the importance of Libyan-Serbian relations, and emphasizing the principle of joint work in strengthening relations between the two sides in various technical and economic fields and in a manner consistent with the shared common interests of the two countries.”
