Over the past day, 44,989 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Russia, 596 people have died from the disease, the operational headquarters reports.
3191 people were hospitalized in hospitals, which is 52.9% less compared to March 12. Another 128,629 patients have recovered after being treated for coronavirus. In Moscow, according to the operational headquarters, 1437 cases of infection with COVID-19 were detected, St. Petersburg – 1923.
The level of herd immunity to coronavirus in Russia as of March 11 decreased from 56 to 53.6% in a week. At its peak on January 21, it reached 64.4% against the government’s target of 80%. Decrease in herd immunity is observed for the sixth week in a row.
Vaccination with the first component of drugs against coronavirus in the country was carried out 88,277,878 times, and the full vaccination cycle – 84,489,088 times.
