A bus hit a store on Ehad Ha’am Street in Tel Aviv today (Sunday). MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene provided medical care to a 61-year-old passenger who was lightly injured. Three other lightly injured, including a passenger from the bus, a woman who was in the store and a passer-by were treated at the scene and did not need to be evacuated.
MDA paramedics Eitan Gavra and Issachar Weiss said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw the bus that collided with the store and the great commotion that was there. We immediately started scanning the area to locate the wounded, assess the severity of their injuries and make sure there are no trapped wounded. We located 4 wounded, who were very lucky to be only slightly injured and suffered minor injuries. A 61-year-old man who was on the bus at the time of the accident was taken to the hospital and a woman who was with him was treated on the spot and did not need to be evacuated. A woman who was in the store at the time of the accident and a man who was walking down the street and witnessing the incident were agitated and treated by our staff at the scene. “
The bus drivers’ association said: “The causes and trends that make buses the most dangerous means of transport on the road should be investigated immediately. “We see such terrible accidents. The writing on this accident was on the wall. This snowball must be stopped before it is too late.”
About a month ago, a 60-year-old man lost control and crashed into a shop window in a nursing home in Rishon Lezion. As a result, three pedestrians were injured, a woman in her 70s moderately and another woman and a baby lightly.
