In several cities of Russia on Sunday, March 13, protests began against the war of the Russian Federation with Ukraine. According to the online publication Meduza, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the authorities refused to coordinate anti-war rallies. In the Russian capital, according to OVD-Info, 10 people have already been detained. In Khabarovsk, according to the SOTA portal, at least eight people were detained, including for the words “No to war” on clothes, for the poster “Ukraine, you are right” and for applauding the picketer with this poster.

In St. Petersburg, according to the Mediazona portal, the police detained people who were at the Gostiny Dvor metro station, where anti-war actions were to take place. On the opposite side of Nevsky Prospekt, the inscription “No to war” appeared.

Actions against the war with Ukraine are also taking place in Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Vladivostok, Omsk, and Tomsk.

In a number of places it was about single pickets with placards. The exact number of detainees is still unknown. According to OVD-Info, by 2:30 p.m. more than 172 people had been detained in 20 cities.
