– It is pleasing that such a loyal partner as Elon is expanding sponsorship in Norwegian cross-country skiing. Having a partner that contributes to today’s and tomorrow’s cross-country skiers is important for Norwegian skiing. Interview: Exploring the Expansion of Elon’s Collaboration with Cross-Country Skiing
Moderator: Welcome to Time.news! Today, we have a special guest, Hans-Eric Schultz, the CEO of Elon Norway, joining us to discuss the exciting expansion of Elon’s collaboration with the Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF) in the realm of cross-country skiing. Welcome, Hans-Eric!
Hans-Eric Schultz: Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to be here.
Moderator: To kick things off, can you tell us what motivated Elon to deepen its collaboration with NSF and the cross-country skiing community?
Hans-Eric Schultz: Absolutely! At Elon, we believe in the importance of supporting athletes and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Cross-country skiing is not just a sport here in Norway; it’s part of our culture. By partnering with NSF, we’re able to nurture talent and help elevate the sport while also promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.
Moderator: That’s fantastic! It seems that sustainability is a core value for Elon. How does this partnership align with those principles?
Hans-Eric Schultz: Great question! Our collaboration goes beyond sponsorship. We aim to implement eco-friendly practices in the materials and logistics involved in the sport. This includes developing sustainable gear for athletes and ensuring that our activities leave minimal environmental impact on the beautiful Norwegian landscapes that we cherish.
Moderator: Speaking of athletes, I understand you have been working closely with some skilled individuals like Ulf Morten Aune, Julie Myhre, and Tiril Udnes Weng. How has Elon’s support made a difference for them?
Hans-Eric Schultz: Each of these athletes embodies the spirit of perseverance and excellence in their respective disciplines. Our collaboration provides them with the resources they need—be it advanced training facilities, the latest technology in sports gear, or mental and physical support programs. We believe that with the right backing, they can truly shine on both national and international stages.
Moderator: It sounds like a very supportive ecosystem. Can you share any specific initiatives that you’ve implemented recently with the NSF or your athletes?
Hans-Eric Schultz: Certainly! One initiative that we’re particularly proud of is our “Green Training Camp,” where we not only train the athletes but also engage them in workshops on sustainability. They learn how to be eco-conscious and inspire their fans to adopt a similar mindset. It’s about building a community that thrives on both performance and responsibility.
Moderator: That’s very inspiring! How do you envision the future of this partnership? What are your long-term goals?
Hans-Eric Schultz: Our goal is to create a lasting impact, not only in terms of performance in skiing but also in setting a benchmark for sustainable practices within sports. We want to see our athletes symbolizing a movement that integrates passion for sport with a commitment to environmental stewardship. Ultimately, we envision a new era where athletes, fans, and organizations can collaborate for a sustainable future.
