Ready for the weekend? It’s time to take a break and enjoy the summer that is (finally) arriving. And to help you, what’s better than the music releases of the week? On the program this Friday 12th July are some musical heavyweights, with Katy Perry and Eminem, but also other international artists such as Metronomy and Cigarette After Sex, ending with a French girl who is all the same: Jain.

Katy Perry – The world of women
Pop star Katy Perry makes the release of a new album official, 143 September 20th. An expected return as it will be his first studio album since then Smilereleased in August 2020. “I set out to create a bold, exuberant and festive pop-dance album with the symbolic digital expression of love as its main message,” promises the singer in a press release. To make her fans’ mouths water, Katy Perry posted The world of womena first single accompanied by a music video.
Eminem- The Death of Slim Shady
The American rapper Eminem returns this Friday 12 July with the twelfth album entitled The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)in which he buries his famous alter ego. A new - and highly anticipated – album featuring 19 songs, including the singles already released: Houdini et Tobey with Big Sean and BabyTron. “Public service notice: Death of Slim Shady it’s a concept album, so if you listen to the songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy,” the legendary artist wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Metronomy – Posse EP Volume 2
We’re changing the mood with England’s Metronomy who release their new collaborative EP this Friday – perfect for chilling out this weekend, titled Posse EP Volume 2 and composed of five songs, produced by Joe Mount, founder and central figure of the group. Three pieces had already been published: Beautiful city, With balance et High contact.
Cigarette after sex – X
If the mood of the weekend is more disturbing or if you have decided to spend it under the covers, we can only recommend the new Cigarette After Sex album, Xpublished this Friday. Consisting of ten songs, including singles Tejano Blue, Dark holiday et Baby Blue Moviethis album evokes a love story and… a breakup. A “brutal” record, in the words of the group’s leader, Greg Gonzalez.
Jain- Nobody knows
In the midst of touring summer festivals, singer Jain releases a new single, called Nobody knowswhich he announced a few days ago on social networks. A song released accompanied by a music video, all for a decidedly 80s synthpop vibe.
