Thanks to the financial support of the INDH, which enabled the acquisition of several sewing and textile printing machines as well as other equipment, the cooperative was able to optimize its production, expand its range of products and strengthen its presence on the national market by exploring new distribution channels, notably online sales.
Operational since 2017, this project fully embodies the values of solidarity and mutual aid between the women of Douar, who, by uniting their skills and resources, have succeeded in building a collaborative work space favorable to their social inclusion and their economic empowerment. .
Beyond its economic vocation, the cooperative also plays an important role in the training of young girls in the town, by offering them learning sessions in sewing, artisanal embroidery and techniques for making traditional textile products.
In a statement to MAP, the president of the cooperative, Fatima Ait Kaddour, expressed her gratitude to the INDH for its “crucial” support in the implementation of this project.
“The cooperative is committed to continuing to expand its activities and creating even more opportunities for women and girls, in order to contribute to inclusive development in the Municipality of Mzouda,” she added.
For his part, Safae Benmessoud, member of the cooperative, welcomed the positive impact of the cooperative on the living conditions of women in the region, noting that this project “not only made it possible to generate income, but also to strengthen the self-confidence and autonomy of the beneficiaries.
She then discussed the cooperative’s future projects, in particular the diversification of products and the exploration of expansion opportunities on a national scale, in order to make local know-how known beyond borders. of the province.
For her part, Amina Garati, head of the “Income improvement and economic inclusion of young people” department at the Social Action Division (DAS) of the province of Chichaoua, affirmed that the INDH programs play an essential role in promoting the empowerment of rural women in this part of the national territory, specifying that these initiatives aim to create employment opportunities, promote social inclusion and encourage female entrepreneurship.
