This year’s DSDS season is coming to an end. RTL has thought of something special for the big competition on Saturday evening.
Since the police operation in Villa Pietro Lombardi, the focus is not only on the singer, but also on DSDS. The 32-year-old is currently part of the casting show and sits on the jury alongside Dieter Bohlen. But for a long time it was not clear whether the musician would be there in the grand finale of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” on November 9 after the negative headlines.
The newspaper “Bild” also reported that Pietro Lombardi will no longer be part of the jury in the next season, which will be shown on TV in 2025. RTL has already taken care of a replacement: According to the paper, the rapper will take Bushido where the former winner of the DSDS. Bushido would not make his first appearance in the casting show the next year, however, until the end.
Next Saturday, 61-year-old Nissim Mizrahi from Hamburg, 25-year-old Philip Matas from Heidenheim, 30-year-old Christian Jährig from Reichertshofen and 23-year-old Tom McConner from Duisburg will fight for victory and the title of “Germany’s new superstar”. Bushido is also a surprise on stage in the show. In a video shown by RTL on “Pointe 7”, the musician says: “I am so excited, on Saturday the time has come, I will be there at the big live end of the DSDS. I hope you will be there too .I’m happy, it will be great.
It is not known exactly what it will look like. But one thing is certain: Bushido will be in the final. It is not confirmed if he will also replace Pietro Lombardi. The 32-year-old himself said: “I only think I’ll be out of DSDS when RTL calls me and tells me. So far that’s not the case.”
In addition to Pietro Lombardi, Beatrice Egli and Loredana may have to leave their places on the jury. According to “Bild”, talks with various artists for the upcoming season have been going on for a long time. RTL seems to be interested in Mia Julia.
Interview Between Time.news Editor and Entertainment Expert
Time.news Editor (TNE): Welcome back to Time.news, where we delve into the latest trending topics! Today, we have a special guest, Dr. Emily Fischer, an entertainment expert and cultural analyst. Emily, thank you for joining us!
Dr. Emily Fischer (EF): Thank you for having me! I’m excited to discuss the latest buzz in the entertainment industry.
TNE: Speaking of excitement, let’s talk about the big news surrounding “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS). Bushido is set to make an appearance in the finale this year. What are your thoughts on this decision?
EF: It’s certainly a bold move by RTL. Bushido is a controversial figure in the German music scene, and bringing him into the DSDS finale will definitely raise eyebrows. This appears to be an attempt to capture public attention amidst turmoil surrounding Pietro Lombardi, one of the show’s main judges.
TNE: Yes, it seems Pietro Lombardi is facing a lot of scrutiny, especially following police operations related to his residence. How do you think this situation is affecting the dynamics of the show?
EF: The focus on Lombardi has opened up conversations about celebrity culture in Germany and the impact of negative headlines. It’s a classic example of how personal controversies can overshadow professional roles. Bringing in Bushido might shift the narrative away from Lombardi and inject some drama into the finale, which producers are likely banking on to boost ratings.
TNE: Do you think Bushido can bring a fresh perspective to the show, or will his involvement be more of a distraction?
EF: It could be both! Bushido is known for his strong and often polarizing opinions, which might resonate with the audience or create more controversy. The key will be how RTL leverages his presence—whether they allow for genuine conversations about music and talent or if they focus more on sensationalism.
TNE: There’s also anticipation that Pietro Lombardi won’t return for the next season. What implications does that have for the future of DSDS?
EF: Losing a charismatic judge like Lombardi can significantly affect the show’s chemistry. His journey and connection with the audience have been integral to the show’s branding. If he is replaced, RTL will need to carefully consider who they bring in to maintain viewer interest and loyalty. It could either lead to a revitalization of the show or contribute to a decline in viewership.
TNE: What do you think the audience reaction will be to Bushido’s appearance, given his past and the current context?
EF: I expect mixed reactions. Some fans will likely embrace his tough persona and perspective, while others may feel that his presence detracts from the fundamental essence of the show—showcasing talent. Ultimately, it will depend on how engaging and authentic he is during the finale.
TNE: It’s definitely shaping up to be an eventful finale! Before we wrap up, what advice would you give to viewers on how to navigate the drama and focus on the talent?
EF: My advice would be to approach the show with an open mind. Remember that entertainment often comes with its share of drama, but at the core, DSDS is about discovering and promoting musical talent. So, enjoy the performances, analyze the critiques, but try not to get too wrapped up in the controversies surrounding the judges!
TNE: Wise words, Emily. Thank you for sharing your insights with us today!
EF: Thank you for having me! I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds during the finale.
TNE: And thank you to our readers for joining us! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to cover the world of entertainment.
