Scott Hall, the WWE legend better known under the nickname of his entertainment wrestler Razor Ramon, is in a humane condition and the United States is preparing to say goodbye to one of the greats the industry has known. Hall rose to particularly large dimensions of popularity in the early 1990s and became one of the most prominent figures in American culture.

Hall is hospitalized while connected to respirators after surgery to repair a valve in his heart became complicated. He underwent three heart attacks during the operation and was between life and death at a hospital in Georgia.

Hall’s family reportedly tends to disconnect him from the devices, leading to his inevitable death. He was one of the revolutionaries in entertainment wrestling after leaving the WWE in the 90s in favor of WCW, and was part of the nWo group that changed the face of entertainment wrestling alongside two other legends, Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash.

But with fame came a heavy price, a severe alcohol addiction that began during his time at WCW and even became part of his “storyline” in the organization. The thought was that it would help him quit, but the years passed and Hall sank deeper and deeper into his addiction which led to severe medical problems, among them in his heart.

Hall, 63, entered the WWE Hall of Fame over the years once under his own name as part of nWo and a second time his iconic character, Razer Ramon, was inducted.
