The Indian Wells tournament continues tonight (Sunday) with all the top-ranked men and women already getting into things.
Men
Andrei Rublev, ranked 7th in the world who plays without a flag next to his name of course, advanced to the third round after defeating German Dominic Kupfer (51) 5: 7, 4: 6 at the end of a game that lasted an hour and 46 minutes. Marin Cilic (24) was eliminated in the second round after losing 6: 7 (7), 6: 3, 7: 6 (6) to Serbian Mumir Katzmanovic (61).
Taylor Fritz (20) also advanced to the third round after easily defeating Polish Kamil Meihchak (75) 1: 6, 1: 6.
Tommy Paul recorded the biggest victory of his career, when he ousted Sasha Zebrav, ranked 3rd in the world. The American, 24, ranked 39th in the world, defeated the German 2: 6, 6: 4, 6: 7 (4), recorded a fourth career victory over the top-10 ranked, and advanced to the third round, in an attempt to restore his record achievement from last year, fourth round In Indian Wells.
