As Day.Az reports with reference to Trend, at the opening ceremony, Murat Kurum said that since COP29 is being held in Azerbaijan, Turkey is taking a more active part here on the principle of “One nation, two states.”
“In addition, this time we will also discuss financial mechanisms related to climate change,” the Turkish minister noted.
It should be noted that COP29 officially started today in Baku. The event, which runs from November 11 to 22, will bring together world leaders, policymakers and climate experts to discuss pressing climate change issues. On the agenda are climate finance, emissions reduction targets and global cooperation. The results of COP29 are expected to have a significant impact on shaping the planet’s future climate strategy.
