War in Ukraine: Second mayor abducted by Putin henchmen! – Politics abroad

by time news

Anyone who doesn’t suit Putin will be eliminated! The Kremlin despot wants to seize power in Ukraine by any means necessary.

According to the authorities, another mayor has been abducted by Putin’s henchmen in southern Ukraine. “War crimes are becoming more and more systematic,” wrote the head of the military administration of the Zaporizhia region, Olexander Starukh, on Facebook on Sunday. “The mayor of Dniprorudne, Yevheniy Matvyeev, was kidnapped.”

Dniprorudne is a small town with almost 20,000 inhabitants on the river Dnipro, which is dammed at this point to form the Kakhovka reservoir.

Before that, Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of the city of Melitopol, was abducted. He didn’t want to work with the Russians, and boom, he was gone. So far there has been no sign of life from him.

In his place, Kremlin dictator Putin appointed a Moscow-based politician as governor. Pro-Russian MP Halyna Danilchenko called on residents of the southern Ukrainian city of Melitopol to “adapt to the new reality”. At the same time, she demanded that the residents stop demonstrating against the Russian occupying forces.

Mayor Ivan Fedorov was kidnapped at the Melitopol Crisis Center on Friday. The Russian occupiers apparently acted extremely brutally: “During Fedorov’s kidnapping, they put a plastic bag over his head,” according to the parliamentary statementFoto: @ua_parliament/twitter

“Despite our efforts, there are still people in the city trying to destabilize the situation and calling on you to engage in extremist acts,” Danilchenko said in a video message. She wants to create a “Committee of People’s Deputies” to run the city with almost 150,000 inhabitants.

► Russia had announced that it wanted to “denazify” Ukraine. The Kremlin claims that the leadership in Kyiv is controlled by “Nazis”. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has Jewish roots.

► Melitopol’s mayor Ivan Fedorov had previously been abducted by Russian fighters, according to Kiev information. President Zelenskyj demanded Fedorov’s release, and several hundred residents demonstrated in the city for the elected mayor.

Local media referred to Deputy Danilchenko on Sunday in reference to the SS occupying forces in World War II as “Gauleiterin in skirt”.

Efforts are also evident in the conquered southern Ukrainian city of Cherson to secure the Russian occupation. As Zelenskyy said, Russia is striving for the formation of a “Kherson People’s Republic” – according to this, a model similar to that in the “People’s Republics” of Donetsk and Luhansk, which are recognized as independent, would be conceivable.
