Anton Hekimyan: Vasil Terziev failed Sofia

GERB-SDS in SOS presented the report of the rulers in Sofia for the last one⁢ year

The group of municipal‌ councilors from GERB-SDS‍ in the Metropolitan Municipal Council (SOS) read a declaration‌ on the occasion of⁤ 1 year of the administration of ‍Vasil Terziev. Anton Hekimyan, who read it, shared⁢ that the development of Sofia has‍ stopped, the municipality keeps shaking from scandals and hysteria,‌ and the administration has been decapitated ‌in⁣ order to house its ⁣own people. This was announced by the press center of GERB-SDS.

“Besides a failure ⁣in the management of‍ the city, we also⁤ see a failure in ‍the political‍ leadership⁤ of the mayor’s own group in the Metropolitan‌ Municipal Council. The PP-DB-SS party configuration no longer hides the fact that they do not believe in‌ themselves. The family feud between them on the eve in the first ‌year of their marriage is ‍a self-made production, with the aim of conveniently ‍transferring the ball to who bears the blame and mistakes for the failure,” Hekimyan was categorical.

“A year ago we were listening to the boast of a self-proclaimed successful businessman who would apply his ‌business models and business successes to setting⁣ goals, assembling teams of professionals and transparent management, and now this same mayor sums‍ up his first ‌year with ⁤quotes from Chalga songs “, ⁣said the ⁣chairman of the⁣ GERB-SDS group in SOS and added:

And here is the entire declaration of ‌the municipal councilors ⁢from GERB-SDS in the ⁣Metropolitan Municipal Council, read by Anton Hekimyan:

Dear fellow citizens, Dear colleagues, Dear representatives of the⁢ media, During the last year, the development of Sofia stopped. Vasil Terziev failed the city. The municipality is shaken by scandals and ⁤hysteria ⁤- which are carried ⁢throughout⁤ the city. The administration was ⁢decapitated in order to accommodate their own people who⁤ are learning on the backs of⁤ Sofians. At this point and in the next‌ few years, only projects bequeathed by ⁤GERB will be implemented. In addition to ⁤a failure in the management of the city, we also see a failure in the political leadership of the mayor’s⁢ own group in the ‌Metropolitan Municipal Council.‍ The configuration of the PPDBSS parties no‍ longer hides the fact that they⁤ do not⁢ believe in themselves.

The⁤ family feud between them on the ‌eve ⁢of their first year⁣ of marriage is a self-imposed set-up, in order to conveniently shift⁤ the ball on who bears the⁢ blame and⁢ mistakes for the failure. The unwilling partners in the ‍management of‍ Sofia are increasingly expanding the sanitary cordon ⁢between themselves ⁣-‍ by kicking the knuckles or openly issuing ultimatums.

Ultimatums, which under‌ the apparent “principled” topics of city management ⁤or protecting the interests of ‍citizens, hides public wringing⁢ of hands for positions⁢ – such⁤ as that⁢ of the chief architect, handing out contracts to⁤ the‌ cleaning companies, ‌according to them ⁢for over one billion ‍and scandals for more money – for public contracts‌ to ⁤serve their personal interests, dressed in ⁢political promises. They do ‍not believe themselves and threaten themselves ‍through the media, but expect Sofians to ⁣believe them.

Dear citizens of Sofia Municipality – ⁣we remind you‍ why Vasil Terziev ⁣was elected:

A year ago, we were listening to the ⁢boast of a self-proclaimed successful businessman who would apply his ⁣business‌ models and business‌ successes to setting goals, assembling teams⁢ of professionals and ⁤transparent management.

And while the mayor sums up his ‌first year with quotes from chalga songs – let’s recall quotes⁤ from his pre-election‌ promises – ⁣which I⁣ will not define as lies – but rather as chalga-truths – Terziev’s chalga-truths!

1. Promise. “Sofia annually,⁤ according to our calculations, more than 500 million leva‌ flows‍ into our companies and⁤ our people.” “500

However, we heard ⁣about‍ another 500 thousand BGN that you gave to ⁢a lawyer and that for a case that has already been lost!

We did not see⁤ a blacklist. At the ‌same time, ⁢you gave ‌the first major construction contract for nearly BGN 15 million to a company against which you jumped the ⁢most during the campaign.

Over 250 ‌experts are working on our program. My strength is in building ⁤a team. The truth – for months⁢ you did⁣ not have a ready team, you never officially and ⁢publicly presented your team. You ⁤still ⁢don’t have a deputy mayor for ‌construction and you have turned this position into a ⁤rotating position. The heads of municipal enterprises and the mayor’s chief‍ expert were elected opaquely.

During the same time, you did not inform‍ anyone that you were⁢ going to ⁢carry out an illegal reorganization ⁢of the “Patriarch”, and the citizens of “Oplchenska” were not⁢ only not at the table to discussed the project, and were pushed‌ into the dark and mud.

Terziev likes to ‍say that he is based on data,⁣ but on the issue of garbage containers, things seem like⁤ the times when the rulers flooded us with data on overflowing five-year-olds plans,⁤ and people experienced shortages of‍ basic products and queues at shops were a ⁤daily occurrence. Now⁣ the heirs of these rulers tell us not to believe our eyes, which see the overflowing buckets and containers.

What⁣ happened, ⁤Terziev, where are 380 million, did you look‌ for them, will you collect them?

I don’t‍ know according to which European standard – but your footpaths also fall ⁢apart on the first day!

The problem must be⁤ looked⁢ at comprehensively, to stop this‌ traffic of 150-200 thousand cars⁤ from entering the neighborhoods, it must⁢ be seen how the traffic‍ will be removed‌ from the center – what can ‌be done to⁢ relieve parking. Not ‍only did you not improve‍ the traffic, but⁢ you managed ‌to jam⁤ the ⁤city with⁣ unprecedented traffic jams!

But really, Terziev, even ‌your civil budgets for 2024 will remain for ‍2025.

And as it is ⁣sung in an old song – generous promises, only ⁤promises…! And speaking of broken ‌promises! A theme that is a promise to the future! “Kindergarten‌ for every child!” ⁢Already in your ⁤first year you⁤ lied that 1,400 kindergarten⁤ places ‍would be opened. And since there is no⁣ transparency in this municipality – according to our‍ data, ⁤the places so far – in mid-November are no more than 800 with two, only⁢ two nursery groups.Everything that is found has been prepared‌ and left as⁣ projects by GERB in the Capital Municipality.

Vasil Terziev lied to the people. ⁣And one more very important thing! ⁣A year ⁢ago, in the pre-election battle, ⁤Vasil Terziev said: “Sofia needs not a ⁣puppet on strings,⁤ but courage, competence and a serious team.”

A year later – he himself has NO COURAGE, STILL NO COMPETENCE, NO SERIOUS TEAM – AND HE HIMSELF HAS TURNED INTO‍ A PUPPET OF THREADS – PULLED ‌BY THE ‍CHANGE, THE S

There is no way that a person who has actually been living with ‍the measures since 2019 can be mayor, he allegedly prepared for a year before announcing⁤ his candidacy for mayor – a person who has appropriated two programs – that of “Sofia Team” and “Save Sofia”‌ “, claims that there are 250 experts who worked on the policies for the city before the election – to be such a weak and powerless‌ mayor of the capital.

Well,‌ as the “change” ‍says – there’s a ‍way! Today Terziev doesn’t speak so much⁤ in the media. He rarely speaks in front of ⁢the municipal councilors. If he ⁤talks about results, he conveniently forgets to mention that they are ⁣all based⁤ on GERB projects. Today, however, Terziev is in charge of ⁣the coalition you are a⁢ partner through the media. “My ⁢team and⁤ I⁢ do⁣ not give ⁤in to the pressure”,‌ says the mayor of “change”.

You are not‌ infallible, but⁢ you are truly—I would ‌add—truly incompetent. But I would describe you with another song – Bulgarian, pop, very⁣ nice, ⁢by the way – Hopeless ‍case! What we at GERB have done: We supported the beginning of the work for the ⁣city. For months, Sofia was hostage to Terziev’s communication to Bonev that the latter ⁣would become the first on the Metropolitan Municipal Council. With our ‌votes, the council worked. GERB’s compromise ‌on behalf of‍ the city was the historic⁢ and wise ‍decision – regardless of ⁣the fact that we are the opposition ‍- to support ⁢Sofia’s budget‌ for 2024. A budget that was 95% copied from the previous one ⁤of GERB. We voted⁢ in support of⁢ a continuation of ⁢our long-standing policies for the capital – modernization ‍of the rolling ‌stock of ground urban ‍transport. The report was a‌ re-amplified version of a similar‍ composition renewal report a year ago,⁤ bequeathed by ⁣our management.

We ⁤pushed for and got the⁢ salary increase ⁢for public transport workers‌ and school nurses.⁤ The bonus⁢ system for those⁣ working in public transport ⁤came ‍about after strong pressure from our group and BSP, ‍and not because of the desire of ⁢Terziev’s administration.

We ⁤saved Auto and Electric Transport from gridlock – ⁣after failing to ‍support the 2024 Transport Economic ⁤Framework, warning that it would be devastating for ground operators, through political pressure and negotiations we tripled⁤ the ⁢money for both companies as a counterbalance to the administration’s hostile policies.

We defended the ⁤topics related to the separate ‍collection of waste, the cleanliness of the air. We continue to insist on transparency in the management of the Waste Plant. We ⁢submitted dozens ⁣of reports on the strategic development of municipal healthcare. ‍We continued our policies to support disadvantaged people with access⁤ ramps in schools and programs for deaf people. Care for ‌the elderly in homes and retirement clubs continued⁢ with the provision of ‌funds for various initiatives. Road safety was our top⁣ priority.

And above‍ all ⁢- we continued to be close to the citizens, to hear and solve their problems and ⁣to work for Sofia!”

Yesterday, the mayor of ‌Sofia, Vasil Terziev, presented the report for one ⁣year in office. He ⁣expressed ⁢hope that with‍ all the‌ accumulated experience and lessons from mistakes, even ‍better⁤ results will be⁢ achieved next year.

Since the beginning ⁣of the mandate, he has been subjected to attacks from⁣ the opposition, but the⁣ friendly fire from the “We continue the change” – ‍”Democratic Bulgaria”‌ – “Save Sofia” coalition ‍that elevated him was also felt.

And an unexpected⁣ press conference of⁣ “Save Sofia” suggested that the once informal pressure group on any decisions for⁤ the capital has today acquired the self-confidence to govern alone. And in order for ⁤everyone to believe how serious they are, Boris Bonev’s people ultimatum set 5 conditions to remain part ⁤of⁣ the‌ family ‍that won ‍the elections in the capital – to hold a transparent competition for the⁣ chief architect, higher‌ requirements for street cleaning ‌and maintenance companies , the structure of the‍ municipality,‌ revision of the management of GERB and the 2025 budget.

We will see if we ⁣will‌ stay together with‌ “Save Sofia”. I ‌cannot control⁤ the actions of other parties. “Separate times”, commented Mayor Terziev.

And he himself explained that he can admit his ⁤mistakes, apologize, but he ⁤will⁤ not forgive ⁣only mistakes in the anti-corruption sphere, because, according to⁣ him, they ⁤cannot be justified by ignorance.

– How has the administration under Vasil Terziev responded to community⁤ needs and concerns in ⁣Sofia?

l, we have been the real advocates for Sofia’s residents, pushing for policies and initiatives that align with the⁢ needs of the community,⁣ even in the face of an administration struggling‍ to deliver on its promises.

Vasil Terziev’s election was marked by grand proclamations‌ and the promise of a new, dynamic ⁤leadership for Sofia. However, as his first year ⁤in office unfolds, it is evident that⁣ the reality has not matched the expectations. The administration’s lack of transparency, failure to fulfill‌ promises, and inability to effectively‌ tackle‌ pressing issues⁣ have left many citizens ‌disillusioned. The people of Sofia deserve a leader who ⁢is not only competent but also courageous and committed to⁢ the welfare of all residents. The call for genuine change remains as relevant as ever, and it is now up to Terziev to either rise to the occasion or risk⁣ being perceived as just another figurehead in a system that demands true accountability and innovation.
