Namite Savages: Good morning! Thank you so much! I am still in shock but incredibly happy to be here.
Editor: Well, you deserve every bit of that happiness! Let’s start from the beginning. What made you want to enter Io Canto Generation?
Namite: Music has always been a part of my life. I started singing when I was really young in Tanzania, and when I came to Italy, I realized there was a whole new world of music waiting for me. Joining Io Canto Generation was a chance to showcase my talent and connect with people who share the same passion.
Editor: You were competing against some incredibly talented contestants, including Cristina Fiorita and Mariafrancesca Cennamo. What was it like to face them in the final?
Namite: Honestly, it was nerve-wracking! They are both amazing singers, and I have so much respect for their talent. But I focused on my own performance and tried to enjoy the moment. Knowing that we all worked so hard together made it feel like a big celebration of music.
Editor: Speaking of performances, you had a duet with legendary coaches like Fausto Leali and Anna Tatangelo. What was that experience like?
Namite: It was unbelievable! I learned so much from them—it felt surreal to sing alongside artists I’ve admired for so long. Their guidance pushed me to a new level, and I’m so thankful to have had that opportunity.
Editor: You sang “The Greatest Love of All” during the finale. Such a powerful song! What made you choose that particular piece?
