Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja has announced that he will modernize the Pakistan Super League (PSL). As the richest league in the world, the changes inspired by the IPL are being put forward by Rameez Raja. The main change is the IPL-style star auction to bring players to the team. Currently, players in the PSL are drawn through the draft system.
“As the PSL progresses financially, we will see who will play in the IPL,” he said. Ramis was speaking in an interview with ESP Creek Info.
According to Rameez, PSL will be able to shore up the financially distressed PCB. Currently, the main sources of revenue for the Cricket Board are PSL and ICC funding. At the same time, it is not clear how PSL owners will react to Rameez Raja’s suggestion to pay more.
