A International Film Academy (AIC) announces the list of jurors for the 13th Film Festival of Cinematographic Workswhich will take place on 13 and 14 December 2024, at Museum of Image and Sound (MIS)in Sao Paulo. The competitive event, which celebrates the talent of AIC students and the free Cinema, Filmmaking and Documentary courses, counts on a team of expert judges and audiovisual enthusiasts.

Guglielmo Mariano: Gui Mariano is a journalist, graduate in cultural management and specialist in film history at PUC-SP. He has worked in several cultural institutions, focusing mainly on audiovisual. At TV Cultura, he was part of the communications team and was responsible for promoting classic programs such as Roda Viva, Mostra Internacional de Cinema and Cultura Documentários. From the Sao Paulo broadcaster he moved to Spcine, one of the main public audiovisual companies in the country and Latin America. There he participated in projects such as Circuito Spc
Flavia Rocha: Flávia Rocha is a journalist and screenwriter, founder and communications director of the AIC. He co-wrote the screenplay for the feature film “Birds of Neptune” (2015) with director Steven Richter, which premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival, won the best film award at the Arizona International Film Festival and was in competition at the São Paulo International Film Festival, among other festivals. In 2011, he produced the feature film “Centro de Gravidade”, also by Richter, which premiered at the Raindance Film Festival and the São Paulo International Film Festival, and was distributed by Elo Company. There are currently other projects in development. He is a member of ABRA, Brazilian Screenwriters

David Barkan is an experienced cinematographer and director with an 18-year career spanning film, television and social media. A proud AIC alumnus, David was part of the school’s first class 20 years ago. His work includes feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos and advertising content for major brands such as Bradesco, FIAT, Nivea, Natura, LATAM and Bosch. As director, he has already managed campaigns for Facebook, Havaianas, Itaú, among others.
Ana Carolina Lima trained as an actress in Brazil in 2001 at the former INDAC and shortly after her training joined a professional production of short plays by Samuel Beckett touring Brazil with Sesi in the theater travel project. He continued to work on several theater productions, including returning to SESI for two more projects: “Quem Nunca” and “O que eu understanding do que o Tom Ze said”. Ana made her film debut with the short film “Espalhadas pelo ar”, for which she won three awards as best actress. With the same short film he participated in La Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes festival. It was with the film Center of Gravity written and directed by Steven Richter that Ana received good reviews at the Raindance Film Festival in London.
Ana has maintained her search as a living actress, always involved in various actor training courses. He has participated in numerous advertising films and was also able to try his hand on television with the soap opera “Uma Rosa com Amor”. In 2012 Ana moved to New York to begin her training in method acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Ana currently lives in New York and teaches method acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute.

His projects have received numerous international awards, including three International Emmy nominations and two qualifications for the 2019 OSCAR®️ shortlist, with the documentaries “The Cleaners” and “Piripkura”. He also produced the Netflix original series “João de Deus: Cura e Crime,” which not only reached the Top 5 in Brazil, but also appeared in the Top 10 worldwide. His most recent releases are: the series “190 – Intelligence Against Crime”, “Olhos da Lei”, in the TOP 5 of the most viewed on HBO Max and Discovery+ in 2023, the feature-length documentary “Biografias Íntimas” and the series “Ciência, Feminine Noun”, both in co-production with the GNT channel, the series “Mães do Funk”, in co-production with MTV, among many other works released this year.
Francisco César Filho: Francisco Cesar Filho is a director, curator and cultural entrepreneur. and MacArthur. He is the curator of the Ecospeaker Film Festival, DH Fest – Festival of Culture in Human Rights and Citronela Doc – Ilhabela Documentary Festival. He was director of the Latin American Film Festival of São Paulo, deputy director of É Tudo Verdade, associate director of Curta Kinoforum, organizer of the Mostra do Audiovisual Paulista, executive coordinator of Vivo arte.mov – International Festival of Arts in Mobile Media and curator of the Exhibition Cinema and Human Rights in South America.
He is the director of the feature films “Augustas” and “Futuro do Pretérito – Tropicalismo Now!”, as well as documentaries, short films and TV series.
