The Kingdom has thus put in place several strategies in order to establish solid foundations in terms of renewable energies and facilitate the transition towards projects aligned with sustainable development, they added, noting that renewable energies now constitute 45 % of the national energy mix.
Recalling that electricity production has reached nearly 29% of Morocco’s energy mix, the panelists called for developing more partnerships aimed at encouraging the decarbonization of means of production based on renewable energies.
And to note that the development of infrastructure, the multiplication of activities, projects and investment plans aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are also necessary to succeed in the energy transition.
Thus, they insisted on the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships and improving collaborations in Europe, particularly with France, in terms of renewable energies and decarbonization in order to optimize existing infrastructures and develop techniques. water desalination.
