Danish Victoria Kjaer was crowned Miss Universe 2024 this Saturday during a spectacular gala at the Mexico City Arena, closing with a flourish the 73rd edition of one of the most prominent beauty pageants in the world.
Kjaer won over the jury thanks to his charisma, intelligence and communication skillstaking the long-awaited crown “The Light of Infinity”, an exquisite piece of 18-karat gold, decorated with diamonds and 23 golden pearls.
Sheynnis Palaciosfrom Nicaragua and Miss Universe 2023, had the honor of placing the crown on the head of her Danish successor.
Victoria Kjaer stood out in a competition that began with almost 130 candidatesprogressively reduced to 30, then to 12 and, to the five finalists.
Among the best five were María Fernanda Beltrán (Mexico), Ileana Márquez (Venezuela), Opal Suchata (Thailand), Adetshina Chidimma (Nigeria) and, of course, the winner, Victoria Kjaer.
Emilia’s participation included strong support on social networks and mediawhich earned him the popular vote.

The event included performances by artists such as Robin ThickeTaboo by the Black Eyed Peas and the Chilean Nico Ruiz, adding a special touch to the night.
A jury made up of personalities such as Lele Pons, Margaret Gardiner, Michael Cinco, Camila Guribitey y Gary Nader evaluated factors such as communication, stage presence and charisma in the finalists.
The winner not only receives a crown valued at more than 5.3 million dollarsbut also $250,000 in cash and a monthly salary of $50,000 during her reign as global ambassador.
In addition to being a symbol of beauty and talentKjaer will make commitments to charitable causes and international projects, consolidating her role as a global leader.
