The war between Ukraine and Russia continues for the 19th day. Russian forces have been conducting missile, air and artillery attacks on major cities. At the same time, Ukraine is compensating Russia.
At this point, while the female presenter was reading the news live on Russia’s state television, another female employee (Marina Ovsyanikova) entered, carrying a banner in her hand with the slogan “Stop the war.”
The banner read in English and Russian, “No war. Stop the war. Do not believe the propaganda. They are lying to you.”
Photos and video of it spread fast on social media. Following this, the Russian police arrested Marina Ovsyanikova for acting with the intention of discrediting the Russian military and for spreading false information about the Russian military.
He was later produced in court. He was sentenced by a judge to 10 days in prison.
