Thiruvananthapuram: The 26th International Film Festival kicks off on March 18 in Thiruvananthapuram.
Kerala Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan will light a candlelight vigil at the Nishakanthi Auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram at 6:00 pm on the occasion, which will be the next step in the Goa Film Festival.
The eight-day festival will feature more than 180 films from India, Afghanistan, Korea, Iran and Japan in seven categories. The awards for best films will be presented on March 25. It is noteworthy that the festival, which takes place in the second week of December, was postponed due to corona spread.
