The twenty-fifth edition of the Latin Grammys celebrated a quarter of a century of musical excellence, highlighting the diversity of genres and artists that enrich Latin music.
The big winner of the night was the Dominican Juan Luis Guerra, who won four awards, establishing himself as one of the most iconic figures in the industry.
Juan Luis Guerra took the top awards: Album of the Year and Recording of the Year for his most recent production, Radio Güira, released in November 2023.
His song “Mambo 23” was awarded Record of the Year and also won the award for Best Tropical Song, confirming Juan Luis Guerra’s indisputable talent for reinventing traditional genres with his unmistakable style.
The gala, held for the second time in Miami, became a spectacle of emotions, nostalgia and surprises.
Renowned artists such as Jorge Drexler, Nathy Peluso and Édgar Barrera also shone at the evening. Drexler won two awards, including Song of the Year for Derrumbe, a work he dedicated to his father, who recently died.
For her part, Nathy Peluso, with three awards, equaled the legendary Mercedes Sosa in the total number of Latin Grammys accumulated, while expressing her admiration for the Argentine artist. “This is more than I ever dreamed of,” he said.
