WASHINGTON: A three-year-old American man has died after accidentally shooting his mother with a shotgun. The incident happened Saturday in a Chicago suburb. The gun was found in the hand of a child sitting in the back while the parents were in the front of the car. The bullet struck the 22-year-old mother in the back of the car, who was sitting in front of her when the child operated it playfully. Teja Bennett was pronounced dead at a Chicago hospital. The father of the child was taken away by police to investigate whether the gun was licensed.
