Central and State Governments are taking various measures to increase the use and production of electric vehicles in India to control air pollution. The government is announcing offers and subsidies not only to electric vehicle manufacturers but also to passengers who purchase them. People are also switching to electric vehicles in view of the changing climate, air pollution, rising petrol and diesel prices and shortages.

This is confirmed by the fact that sales of electric scooters in India are growing significantly. For example, 54,557 units were sold in India last February. This is an 18% increase over January sales. Hero, India’s number one electric scooter maker, topped the list. The company sold 7,356 units last month alone. The company holds a 30% stake in India in the electric scooter segment.

Hero sells electric vehicles such as the Photon HX, Optima HX (dual battery), Optima HX (single battery), NYX HX (dual battery), Optima LX, Flash LX, and Atria LX. Its price is in line with the expectations of the common people and people from all walks of life are paying close attention to it. For this Rs. It has also reportedly set aside an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. Hero also plans to set up two large green field factories in western and southern India for the production of electric two-wheelers.

Hero Naveen Munjal, Managing Director, Hero, said that the demand for electric vehicles in India is increasing significantly. He estimates that by 2025, about 30 per cent of motorcycles operating in India will be electric vehicles.

Naveen Munjal, Managing Director, Hero, said, “Production has to increase as demand has increased. Because we have been losing our business for the last few days. We have discontinued the online ordering system. We have reduced the dealership expansion to accommodate pending orders.

That is why we have set a target to triple the production and sales of two-wheelers to Rs 3 lakh in the next financial year. ” But by 2022, Hero is projected to double production.
