Russian Invasion of Ukraine – Day 20: The fighting on Ukrainian soil continues today (Tuesday), with shelling and alarms being heard in cities across the country. Ukrainian President Zalansky updated that 97 children had been killed so far, and reported that the besieged city of Mariupol was left without media and almost without food.

At the diplomatic level, the Ukrainian negotiator confirmed that talks with Russia had resumed, and that the parties were discussing a ceasefire and a withdrawal of troops. Russia, meanwhile, has announced its own package of sanctions on US President Joe Biden, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and other US officials.
