Christmas, the holiday of love, is fast approaching, but before that, the period of waiting for the holiday also holds beautiful days for families. During Advent, the Municipality of Dunakeszi has been offering programs to the people of Dunakes since 2012, the Advent fair opens on November 29 in Casalgrande square.
A beautifully decorated square, Christmas lights, hot drinks and delicious snacks, as well as atmospheric music accompany us in preparation for the holiday. All ages are welcome with cute craft stalls, a gift fair and special programs!
It is no longer news to visitors that the Dunakeszi Program office organizes stage programs every weekend, but this year several weekdays will be filled with content. There will be a treasure hunt game that has become popular at major events in the city, Christmas family photography, a light train, live music, a Christmas tree decoration crafting session, a baroque carousel and cookie distribution will add colour to the repertoire. The fair will be enriched with a Christmas mailbox so that children can drop the letter written to Jesus and the angel into it. An important element of the event is the Dunakeszi Shop, which will also play a central role with the many special Advent products from Dunakeszi. You can also buy a ticket for the light train here.
The Christmas donation campaign is also a tradition in Dunakeszi, the donation house is open every day during the Advent period, so that the Dunakeszi Kindergarten and Human Services Center can hand over the gifts received here to needy families before Christmas.
The communal candle-lighting on Sundays has a really special atmosphere, and according to the plans, József Szabó, local government representative and councilor for church affairs, will bring the Flame of Bethlehem for the 4th candle. Visitors can take this home with 1 candle each. Church leaders and local kindergartens are the essential actors of the candle lightings, from where the children create the moments of silence with a wonderful festive program.
