This is Obama’s last Netflix project since he and Michelle Obama signed a multi-year production agreement with Netflix in 2018. Since then, the two have worked on series like the Oscar-winning documentary American Factory, and have won critical acclaim. Crip Camp. In 2020, Michelle starred in an intimate documentary about her life called Becoming, named after her autobiography, and last year launched a children’s program called Waffles + Mochi about cooking and eating nutritious meals. In 2019, the Obamas’ Higher Ground also signed an agreement with Spotify, and Obama participated in a podcast with singer and creator Bruce Springsteen last year.
