A Russian court has ruled that a woman from Ukraine made pro-Ukrainian remarks on television.

The incident in which a Russian woman expressed pro-Ukrainian views during a live news broadcast has caused a great stir in the country. A Russian court has awarded 30,000 rubles in Indian rupees for the actions of a female employee. Fined 21 thousand. The court ruled that not only was the fine imposed, but that the female employee’s actions were against the laws of the land.
“It has been confirmed that Marina Ausnikova, an employee of Channel One, violated the rules of the law during the struggle,” the court said. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. The woman’s lawyer did not comment.
During a live news broadcast on Monday night, a Channel One employee showed the newsreader a banner with anti-war comments in the background. His banner read, “No war. Stop the war. Do not believe untrue information. They are lying to you.”
Russian state news agencies refer to Russia’s war on Ukraine as a special military operation. Further attacks in the war are said to be giving untrue information on issues including the number of casualties.
Ausnikova said he was interrogated 14 hours after the trial and was not allowed to speak to relatives and was not given any legal assistance. He added that he needed to retire before giving any other information about the incident.
His struggle has caused great fear among those who hold pro-Ukrainian views in the country. Under the new Russian law, those involved in such activities face up to 15 years in prison. The law was passed eight days after the start of the war in Ukraine.
