Cuddalore Devanampattinam Friday Beach Games.
Cuddalore: The Cuddalore District Sports Development Authority (SDDA) beach games kicked off this morning at Cuddalore Devanampattinam Friday Beach. The competition was inaugurated by the Mayor of the Corporation Sundari Raja.
Kabaddi, handball and football matches are held separately for both sexes. Kabaddi was attended by 31 men’s team and 9 women’s team.
34 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams participated in the handball tournament. There are 27 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams participating in the football tournament. The tournament is a knock-out format with everyone participating regardless of age.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams this evening. The top teams qualify for the state level tournament.
