New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has registered a spectacular victory in the by-election held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. Candidates of BJP and other parties lagged behind Priyanka Gandhi by lakhs of votes. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra has reacted on the by-elections on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, Congress’s position in Maharashtra Assembly elections, Delhi Assembly elections and other issues. Read Robert Vadra’s interview-
I am very happy that the people of Wayanad decided to make Priyanka Gandhi win and it was fulfilled. I want to say that Priyanka Gandhi has worked hard in the entire country. BJP also made many allegations against him. But she remained strong. The public has seen all this and has achieved a big victory in Wayanad.
I have experience of living among people. I have seen that the people of Wayanad have immense love for Priyanka. The people here have understood his hard work. After the counting of votes is completed, I am confident that Priyanka will achieve a historic victory. Priyanka Gandhi will find solutions to the problems of the people of Wayanad and raise their issues in Parliament.
Priyanka Gandhi has learned a lot from her grandmother. He has also learned from his mother Sonia Gandhi, brother Rahul Gandhi. Although she looks like Indira Gandhi. But, the politics of that time was different. Today’s politics is different. Priyanka is very hardworking and fearless. She tries to solve people’s problems by working hard.
I won’t be able to say much about this. But I think we should respect the decision taken by the public. Congress leaders at the ground level will have to understand what the public’s expectations were and what did not happen, due to which such a result occurred. Everyone in Haryana felt that the results would be in favor of Congress. But, the decision was not in favor of Congress, which was quite surprising. People are also surprised about the results of Maharashtra.
That is absolutely correct. The results could have been different. Rahul Gandhi always thinks about the state and its people. His thinking was that there was wrong distribution of tickets in the assembly elections. Those who were given the task of distributing tickets need to pay attention. Whatever results have come, there will be discussion at the party level about how to strengthen the Congress in Maharashtra.
Now is Priyanka Gandhi’s time. She will go to Parliament. Right now we are focused on how she will present the issues and problems of the people of Wayanad. According to the family and if the public wants, I will enter active politics.
Congress workers need to go among the people, understand the issues of the people, only then we can find solutions to them. Wherever the party needs me, whatever work is given to me, I will complete it well.
The situation will definitely change. People demanded that Priyanka Gandhi should present the problems of the people in the Parliament. Priyanka will work to table the issues which BJP will not raise. Priyanka will look eye to eye with the leaders in the House and present the problems of the people. Priyanka’s presence will strengthen Rahul Gandhi and the entire Congress party.
What are the key factors behind Priyanka Gandhi’s victory in the Wayanad by-election?
Time.news Editor: Good afternoon, and welcome to this special edition of Time.news. Today, we have with us Robert Vadra, an influential voice in Indian politics and the husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi. Robert, thank you for joining us.
Robert Vadra: Thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to be here.
Time.news Editor: Let’s dive right in. Priyanka’s victory in the Wayanad by-election was nothing short of spectacular. What does this victory mean for her and the Congress party?
Robert Vadra: It’s a monumental win, and I couldn’t be happier. The people of Wayanad have shown immense faith in Priyanka’s leadership and hard work. She has tirelessly engaged with the public, advocating for their concerns. This victory is a testament to her resilience amidst the challenges posed by adversaries.
Time.news Editor: Priyanka mentioned that this election is being fought by the public. Can you elaborate on how she connects with the people of Wayanad?
Robert Vadra: Absolutely. Priyanka has a unique ability to resonate with the people. Her frequent interactions and genuine concern for their issues have built a strong rapport. I’ve seen firsthand how the community values her efforts. The trust they placed in her is palpable, and I’m confident she will prioritize their needs in Parliament.
Time.news Editor: There are comparisons between Priyanka and her grandmother, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. What do you think of these comparisons, especially considering the dynamics of current politics?
Robert Vadra: While it’s flattering to draw parallels, it’s essential to recognise that the political landscape today differs greatly from that era. Priyanka embodies the hard work and fearlessness that runs in her family. She has learned valuable lessons from both Indira and Sonia Gandhi, as well as from her brother Rahul. What stands out is her commitment to solving people’s problems to the best of her abilities.
Time.news Editor: Now, shifting gears to Congress’s performance in Maharashtra, which didn’t meet expectations. What might have led to this outcome?
Robert Vadra: It’s a complex situation. We must respect the public’s choice, but there’s undoubtedly an exploration of what went wrong. I believe our leaders at the ground level need to deeply analyze voters’ expectations. The results were indeed surprising, especially in Haryana, where many anticipated a favorable outcome for Congress.
Time.news Editor: Rahul Gandhi expressed frustration over ticket distribution in Maharashtra, suggesting that had his concerns been considered, the results could have differed. What are your thoughts on this?
Robert Vadra: That is a valid perspective. Effective communication and collaboration within the party are crucial. Had the advice and insights from Rahul been heeded, there’s a possibility that our approach could have been more aligned with what the voters wanted. In politics, timing and unity often make a significant difference.
Time.news Editor: In light of the recent electoral landscape, what do you see as the future for Priyanka and Congress in the forthcoming elections?
Robert Vadra: I believe that Priyanka’s focus on grassroots issues will resonate with more people moving forward. Her victory in Wayanad signals a shift, and I’m hopeful it will energize our base across India. Congress must continue to listen to the public and adapt accordingly. The road ahead may be challenging, but with commitment and strategic planning, I believe we can regain momentum.
Time.news Editor: Thank you, Robert, for sharing your insights today. It will be interesting to watch how these events unfold.
Robert Vadra: Thank you for having me, and for allowing me to share my thoughts.
