Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health announces new travel restrictions

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health announces new travel restrictions. The new concessions will benefit travelers from EU and GCC countries. The changes will take effect from today. The travel concessions were announced in the wake of a significant drop in Kovid cases.

Under the new exemptions, citizens and residents coming to Qatar from GCC EU countries will no longer need Ihtiras pre-approval. All you have to do is show the Kovid Immunity Status application in the respective countries. After arriving in Qatar, you need to download the Ihtiras application. Passengers are required to be vaccinated against Kovid. They do not have to undergo RTPCR inspection when they come to Qatar. However, a rapid antigen test must be performed within 24 hours of arrival in Qatar. Antigen testing is not required if the RTPCR has been tested prior to travel. This applies only if the country of departure is not included in the Red Health Measures list.
