Dr. Sharma: Sonam’s openness about her PCOS journey is incredibly impactful. It helps to destigmatize the condition, encouraging others to share their experiences too and seek the help they need. Awareness is crucial since PCOS affects a significant percentage of women worldwide, yet many suffer in silence due to the stigma associated with it.

Dr. Sharma: Mental health is a significant aspect of managing PCOS. The condition can lead to feelings of anxiety and depression due to its physical manifestations and hormonal imbalances. I often advise young women to seek support from healthcare professionals who understand PCOS, as well as engaging in support groups. Lifestyle changes, such as a balanced diet and regular exercise, can also make a difference.
