In Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool municipality, a municipal employee dumped garbage in front of garbage taxpayers’ shops. The shop owners’ association has strongly condemned this.
Every shop in the corporation and municipality in Andhra Pradesh charges a monthly fee of Rs.100 to Rs.500 for garbage collection. Private cleaners are hired for this purpose and those workers are being paid.
Ward secretaries and staff went to every shop on Bazaar Street in Kurnool yesterday to collect the tax.
Thus the angry municipal employee brought the garbage collected in different areas and dumped it in front of the shops of the interrogators on Bazaar Street.
Traders and trade unions, shocked by the act, strongly condemned such a heinous act of the municipal employee.
Following the complaint of the trade union, the authorities came and took action to dispose of the garbage.
