Paris: The Eiffel Tower in the French capital Paris has been raised another 20 feet.
The Eiffel Tower, built by Gustav Eiffel in 1889 in the French capital Paris, is world famous. It is also a popular tourist destination. The Eiffel Tower was the tallest building in the world until the completion of the Chrysler Building in New York City in 1929.
As the tower was built to a height of 986 feet, its height rose to 1,063 feet following the installation of numerous antennas at the top of the tower for radio transmission. In this case, a 20-foot-tall digital radio antenna is newly installed in the Eiffel Tower.
This new antenna, which was landed on the top of the Eiffel Tower by helicopter, was fitted by the crew in ten minutes. The height of the Eiffel Tower rises by 20 feet to 1,083 feet.
