Prime Minister Jean Castex presented this Wednesday the economic resilience plan to respond in the short term to the immediate economic consequences of the conflict in Ukraine. It is a set of targeted measures for households, companies and sectors faced with increases in the cost of energy and raw materials.

To respond to the short-term economic consequences of the war in Ukraine, Jean Castex announced that the State will bear part of the additional costs of companies very energy consuming. This aid will benefit businesses whose gas and electricity expenditure represents at least 3% of their turnover and which could also have losses in 2022 ».

Specific measures are also planned for fishermen. The latter will benefit from a exceptional financial aid “, who will be “ equivalent to 35 cents per liter of diesel » until the end of July. This will allow fishermen to go back to sea, fuel expenses sometimes representing more than two thirds of their expenses.

The French government will also help the agricultural sector as well. An envelope of 400 million euros will, for example, be devoted to breeders who are faced with the soaring cost of animal feed. The government will also remobilize aid that has proven itself during the health crisis: loans guaranteed by the State, deferrals of charges or even partial activity.
