Pyeongchang-gun is carrying out a ‘Youth Dreamers-type Career Experience Activity’ for youth in the district. Pyeongchang-gun will hold the ‘Youth Dreamers Career Experience Activity’ project, which provides various job experiences to youth in the district, at the Pyeongchang-gun Youth Culture House on November 23rd and the Jinbu Youth Culture House on December 14th.
This project is one of Pyeongchang-gun’s special education development zone projects and is operated with the purpose of fostering healthy youth and promoting activities under the theme of ‘Creating your own stage as every young person dreams of.’
This career experience activity was designed to allow youth in Pyeongchang-gun to experience fields that they usually have difficulty accessing. Experts in each field, such as makeup artists, horticultural therapists, and handicraft perfumers, directly participated and provided hands-on time with students, giving young people the opportunity to experience a variety of jobs and broaden their horizons about their career paths.
In addition, programs planned by the Youth Steering Committee of each Youth Culture House will be held. Through a variety of games and experiences, such as room escape games, recreational activities, and photo zones, we plan to foster self-direction in youth and provide opportunities for communication and cooperation with friends.
Meanwhile, the 5th publication commemorative event was held on the 22nd at the creative writing class “Cool Stories” operated by the Pyeongchang-gun Healthy Living Support Center.
The creative writing class consists of 15 people, ranging from the oldest at 89 years old to 54 years old. The children’s collection of 58 children’s poems by 15 members of the class, “The Briar, Thorn and Eye Stye, Nana,” is the fifth collection of poems from the class.
The phrase, ‘Even a thorn thorn and a stye,’ which is also the title of a collection of children’s poems, is a phrase from ‘White Briar’ that expresses the love of Kim Ki-seon’s mother, who repeated a spell as if reciting a spell to the elderly person with a stye during her childhood when she suffered from frequent minor illnesses. It is a poem of the same poem.
Poet Jo Doo-hyeon, who runs a poetry writing class, said, “Is there anyone who wasn’t a literary boy or literary girl during their school days? Although I grew up cultivating my emotions like that, the world I faced after graduating was difficult. I was hurt knowingly or unknowingly and experienced pain that I couldn’t tell anyone. “As I lived like that, my heart became calloused,” he said.
He added, “I support a beautiful life with the poetry of poet friends and poets who share their lives of finding their lost childhood innocence.”
