The graduating‌ students have been preparing for⁤ the⁣ graduation ball since september. This school year, ‍a total of 170 students in six‍ classes will graduate from Radnóti. So many people signed up for the opening dances that in the‌ end four ⁤groups each performed a gorgeous waltz. According to tradition, the graduates received thier light blue ribbons with the radnót coat of ⁢arms ⁣from the 11th grade⁣ students who graduated them. This ribbon ⁢is a symbol of the ‍fact that they will‌ soon say goodbye ⁤to their high ‌school years, Radnóti, and enter adult life. But not only the ‌students, the⁢ faculty⁣ also prepared for the Radnót ribbon-cutting ball, the teachers performed a surprise dance.

In a double‍ role at the ribbon-cutting ball

– The ribbon-cutting ceremony is a joint, touching festivity of the school and the family. The tradition⁣ of ribbon sewing is almost 200 ‍years old and originates ⁢from Selmecbánya. ⁢The ribbon is not only a symbol of saying goodbye to school, but also of becoming an adult, said Anett⁤ Nagy, the⁤ principal ‍of the radnóti high school, who had to fulfill a dual role this year. As a graduate student’s mother and school principal.
– As a teacher, it is also touching to see that instead ⁤of the usual school uniform,‌ the students suddenly become adults in their beautiful suits and dresses⁤ for ‍graduation, and to ‍be confronted with how quickly the high school years have passed. As a parent, it’s an even more heart-wrenching feeling to realize ‍how quickly our child has grown⁤ up,⁢ even though he was born not so long ago, ⁤he told Délmagyarország.

Before graduation, ⁢after graduation

Though, the work‌ will continue from Monday. The graduating students⁢ are preparing for it with great⁢ enthusiasm for graduation exams. ‌The ⁢autumn graduation exam period ended last week, during which more then ⁢120 ‌students from Radnót took advanced exams in one or more subjects. This is crucial not only because they will have one‍ less exam in ‌the spring exam period, but also because they have experienced what graduation is like. Most‍ of them took advanced exams in languages, including English, with excellent results, with‌ an average score of 94-95 ⁣percent, ‍but many also took exams in⁢ othre languages and geography or took advanced exams with excellent results.
