BOLZANO. Back for the second year on the advent weekends, from tomorrow, November 29th to December 23rd, the Christmas train will run almost every weekend, connecting Alto adige to Milan. The initiative aims at lasting mobility. The Christmas train will connect Milan and South Tyrol every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (excluding the holiday weekend of 8 December).
The scheduled stops will be that of Central Milan, Treviglio, Brescia, Bolzano, Bressanone, Fortezza, Vipiteno and Brennero. “The connection between Lombardy and Alto Adige has great economic, cultural and tourist importance. Last year’s success showed us how essential it is to guarantee a direct connection”, underlines the Mobility councilor Daniel alfreider. The Christmas train is a step forward towards a better connection between Milan and South Tyrol.
“Together with the Lombardy Region we are working intensely to improve connections between the two territories”, adds the councilor.
