The placement under observation of the UFDG Management was on the menu of the weekly general assembly, this Saturday, november 30, of the political party led by Cellou Dalein Diallo. The party reiterates that it will resubmit the same documents it had submitted to the MATD.
Several political parties, like the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea, remained under observation after their evaluation by the MATD (Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization). And this for a period of three months.Faced with Cellou Dalein Diallo activists, Kalémodou Yansané assures that his party will do everything to be in order by the deadline. According to this vice-president in charge of economic affairs of the UFDG, the grievances of the MATD against his party are unfounded: “We are going to resubmit the same documents submitted and justified to the MATD to once again demonstrate the maximum of good faith towards to the Ministry of Territorial Administration. We are criticized for not having filed bank disclosures, which is why the UFDG is under observation. I pulled all the bank statements from 1is January 2021 to November 29, 2024 and the bank has signed and sealed them all. We have also prepared all the reports on our activities from 2021 to 2023,” says Kalémodou.
He says he is aware that the law on political parties does not impose “an obligation to produce certified, controlled balance sheets”, as they are not income-generating companies: “but as they are looking for us, we are not going to not lend the flank. But if they chase us to the wall, we will be forced to face it. We will file all documents in due form. We will continue to fight, we are peace activists but we will not accept what is not admitted by the law, by logic and not by loyalty.”
