WhatsApp has announced a new feature that will allow you to transcribe voice messages in Russian. This was reported in the developers’ blog.
As Day.Az reports, voice messages will be transcribed directly on the user’s device, and supported languages may differ for Android and iOS. However, Russian and English will be available on both platforms.
The new feature will be disabled by default. To activate it, the user needs to go to “Settings”, then to the “Chats” section and select “Voice message Transcription”, and then download the language pack for the desired language.
To transcribe a voice message, you just need to hold it and select the “Transcribe” option from the menu that appears. This feature will be available for free to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.
